The construction work on Haflong 24X7 Water Supply Scheme (WSS) commenced on July 15, 2026.
The project is being implemented by M/s Sri Uday Baishya at a cost of Rs 998.79 million.
The scope of work includes survey work, hydraulic design, construction of jackwell over head pump house, intermediate pumping station, raw water pumping main, raw water pumping machinery, 7 million litres per day (mld) water treatment plant (WTP), clear water pumping main and gravity main to overhead service reservoir (OHSRs)/ ground service reservoirs (GSR), raw water transmission, clear water transmission, 81.28 km long distribution network, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) automation and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) for five years.
The total cost of the project is Rs 1,006.3 million, funded by the Central government. The work is likely to be completed within two years.
