Three firms have been shortlisted for implementation of Augmentation of Sri Muktsar Sahib Water Supply and Sewerage System under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0. These include; Intergen Energy Limited, M/s Jai Bhushan Malik and O.P. Gupta Constructions Private Limited. Bids for the same were invited by the Department of Water Supply and Sanitation, Punjab in June 2025.
The scope of the project includes:
Part 1 (Augmentation and Rehabilitation of Water Supply) – laying of distribution network of length 25.09 km, rising main of length 0.97 km, 9666 house service connections and 2 OHSR of capacity of 1 lakh gallon each.
Part 2 (Extension and Augmentation of Sewerage Network System) – laying of lateral and trunk sewer of length 26.73 km, construction of 1432 manholes and 2673 house service connections.
The work on the project is likely to be completed in 24 months at an estimated cost of Rs 532.41 million.
