The construction work on Manmad 24×7 Water Supply Scheme is likely to be completed by December 2024.
The project will be implemented in 12 wards in phases. Initially, it will be implemented in two wards by mid-October and all remaining wards will be covered by December 2024. The project involves the construction of an 80 km long direct water pipeline from the Karanjwan dam in Dindori taluka to Manmad town in Nasik district in Maharashtra, at a sanctioned cost of Rs 3.5 billion. The water will be treated at the new water treatment plant (WTP) of around 30 mld capacity. Besides, overhead water tanks will also be set up in various locations of the town for distribution to different localities.
