The joint venture (JV) of M/s J Engineers- M/s Capital Engineering Consultancy Private Limited  has emerged as L1 bidder for providing project management consultancy (PMC) bids for development of underground sewerage system (UGSS) in left-out areas and added areas of Namakkal, Tamil Nadu. The firm quoted an amount of Rs 36.5 million. Besides, JV of PKB Engineers and Samarath Infra Tech Services emerged as L2 bidder by quoting an amount of Rs 37 million. Bids for the same were invited by the Namakkal Municipal Corporation in August 2024. 

The scope of work involves providing PMC services which entails monitoring and supervising various activities. 

The project includes construction of collection system including house service connections (HSCs), pumping stations, pumping mains and lift stations in left-out areas and added areas of Namakkal at an estimated cost of Rs 1,836.8 million. It is being funded by the World Bank (WB) under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0. The project is likely to be completed in 36 months.
