The joint venture (JV) of Geo Miller and Company Private Limited and Envirad Projects Private Limited received the letter of acceptance (LoA) for a contract worth Rs 668.7 million for implementation of Agra 40 Untapped Drains, 5 Partially Tapped Drains I&D Project in Uttar Pradesh. Bids for the same were invited by Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam in July 2025.
The scope of work involves survey, review of the designs, redesign wherever necessary and construction of complete civil works with screens and other associated works for interception of 45 drains; Poiya Ghat-I Drain, Poiya Ghat-II Drain, Manoharpur Drain, Bahadurpur Gaon Drain, Jaswant Singh Ki Chatri-1 Drain, Jaswant Singh Ki Chatri-2 Drain, Jaswant Singh Ki Chatri-3 Drain, Lohiya Nagar Drain, Rathor Wali Gali Drain, Banke Bihari Bagchichi Drain, Radha Nagar Drain, Bhalla Ji Ke Makan Wali Drain, Khemchand Toffee Factory Drain, Almari Factory Drain, Seksaria Drain, Belanganj Police Chowki Drain, Belanganj Bridge Drain, Belanganj Kali Mandir Drain, New Radha Nagar Drain, Ambedkar Park Drain, Khairati Tola Drain, Dayanand Ashram Drain, Gokul Nagar Drain, Ganesh Nagar Drain, Rambagh Drain-III, Shambhunath Junior High School Drain, Katra Wazir Khan Drain-I, Katra Wazir Khan Drain-II, Cheeni Roja Drain-I, Cheeni Roja Drain-II, Gali Anantram Bagichi Drain-I, Gali Anantram Bagichi Drain-II, Gali Subedar Nagar Drain, Shyam Lal Vidhya Mandir Drain, Nursery Mandir Drain-I, Nursery Mandir Drain-II, Prakash Nagar, Gadi Chand, Kachpura Drain-I, Kachpura Drain-II, Bhairoghat Drain (Partially Tapped), Water Works Drain (Partially Tapped), Etmaduddula (Partially Tapped), Industrial Area Drain (Partially Tapped) and Nairaich Drain (Partially Tapped), eight sewage pumping stations (SPS); Bhairo Nala, Water Works, Manoharpur, Rajwah (Rehab), Balkeshwar (Rehab), Naraich, Prakashnagar/Kachhpura and Etmad ud Daula (Rehab), rising main of length 15.52 km and Environmental and Social Assessment, Management Plan and implementation including operation and maintenance (O&M) for one year.
The work is likely to be completed in 18 months including a trial run period for 15 days.
The project will be executed on design, build, operate and transfer (DBOT) basis. The project was approved at a cost of Rs 1264.1 million on June 11, 2025.
