The work on two phases of Ondipudur UGSS (Omitted Area) is nearing completion in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
The project is being implemented by the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC).
The Municipal Administration and Water Supply (MAWS) department first granted administrative sanction (AS) of Rs 1,772.9 million on September 9, 2023. However, considering the scale of work the CCMC revised the sanctioned amount to Rs 1,850 million on November 8, 2023.
Ondipudur UGSS (Omitted Area) Phase I
The scope of work involves providing UGSS for omitted areas within the commanding area of Ondipudur STP at Ganapathi, Gandhimanagar and Vilankurichi Road area located at East and North Zone.
Ondipudur UGSS (Omitted Area) Phase II
The scope of work involves providing UGSS for omitted areas within the commanding area of Ondipudur STP at Thanneerpanthal, SIHS colony area and Ondipudhur area located at East Zone.
The contractor for both the projects is JS Associate Development India Private Limited.
The project includes laying of collection pipelines of total 141.945 km length, 5,603 Manholes, 30,128 House Connections (HSC), 17 integration points (linking with old connections), 4 pumping stations, 3 lifting stations, covering wards – 13, 18, 19, 25, 27, 28 and 29 of North Zone; 24 and 55 to 58 of East Zone and 48 of Central Zone.
