The Asian Development Bank has approved a loan worth Rs 17,420 million (200 million USD) for development of sewage and drainage infrastructure under the Kolkata Municipal Corporation Sustainability, Hygiene, and Resilience (Sector) Project in West Bengal.
The scope of work includes construction of 84 km long combined trunk and secondary sewerage and drainage pipelines, 176 km long combined lateral sewerage and drainage pipelines, sewage connections to over 50,000 households, one sewage treatment plant (STP) and five pumping stations.
